2017 Annual San Clemente Gala

Dear Fellow Torellesi and Friends:

It is with great pleasure to welcome you to such an auspicious occasion at the 45th Anniversary of our Club and Canada's 150th birthday.

The Torella Recreation club was founded in 1972, by a group of community individuals who later formed a committee with the goal and objective of celebrating our cultural and religious beliefs, especially the celebration of our much beloved saint, San Clemente Martire.

From 1972 onwards we have continued to come together on regular intervals to maintain our traditions, culture and heritage. 

From the birth of our club in 1972, my family and I became members of this organization and in 1995, I joined the committee as a treasurer and later I became President of the club. 

Over the years we have celebrated our annual mass for San Clemente in October, we organized children's Christmas parties, bus trips, bocce tournaments and picnics. As the President of this organization, I am proud and pleased to say that today in 2017 we are still very active and thriving as a club.

I would like to express my special thanks to Don Marco Iorio, and to Dott.ssa Chiara D'Alessandro & Dott.ssa Rosaria D'Alessandro, from the Comune of Torella del Sannio with honouring us with their presence and also many thanks to the Member of Parliament, MP Francesco Sorbrara and Regional Councillor Gino Rosati, with honouring us with their presence.
